Tips for Vapers with disabilities:
We know that some people struggle changing their coils, filling their tank and more. We have customers visit us on a regular basis to get their coils changed. We have put together a few tips to help those who struggle or simply want to avoid the more fiddely aspects of vaping.
There is no one solution, it all depends on the style of vaping and what kind of vape meets your needs.
Changing Coils:
Don’t get us wrong, changing coils can be difficult depending on the device, even for us who do it daily. Nowadays, we see more and more modern tanks that have push-fit coils. These are a lot simpler to use as you simply pull out the coil from the base then push a new one in.
The Uwell Crown 3 uses the push-pull coil system while also sealing the e-liquid in the tank which means that you won’t need to empty the tank to change your coil, saving you both messiness and money (not wasting your e-liquid).
You should also consider using a pod vape kit, these are simple to use and very easy to fill the pod. You can get pod kits that have prefilled pods, pods with fixed coils and pods with changeable coils.
A great option is the Smok Novo 2 Pod Kit, this pod kit uses pods with fixed coils. another option is the Uwell Caliburn Pod Kit, this features a fixed coil and you have the choice to use it via a button or the inhale-activation draw system.
E-Liquid Bottles:
All bottles have child proof caps, this is due to the TPD, however, this can be difficult for some of us adults too. Due to TPD, bottles containing nicotine cannot be over 10ml which means that many manufacturers now create shortfills. This is a larger bottle that contains 0mg of nicotine but designed to be boosted with nicotine. The top can be hard to take off, but some manufacturers now have a removable nozzle for easier removal.
If you prefer High VG e-liquid, then you can get some e-liquids in 10ml that are pre-mixed and already contain the nicotine you desire.

Tank / Pod:
It can be a pain or straight up hard to refill your tank or pod with e-liquid. If you struggle with this, you can get pods that are prefilled with e-liquid. Modern pods come with a side fill-port where you push the nozzle of your e-liquid into the port and gently squeeze the bottle to fill.

Grip:
Most vape kits are made of metal and have that shiny & glossy feel which make them pretty slippery to hold. Fortunately, there are a few kits out there that have a more rubberised feel to them for improved grip, such as the Wismec Active Mod and Vaporesso Renova Pod Kit.
Struggling with vision:
Try by avoiding advanced mods with screens. These mods are great as they have many functions such as temperature control, variable wattage mode and more. But we recommend getting a simple device that is both easy to use and most cost effective.
In addition to mods, we recommend checking your tank before purchasing as they can have a small arrow near the filling mechanism. Some devices with an arrow mean that you need to push in order to open or slide.
Summary:
All products are suited to a different type of consumers, this is why there are so many currently on the market. More and more innovative devices are being produced daily, if you cannot find one suited to you, don’t give up as there is a lot of trial and error in vaping.
If you need any assistance with any vape related product, we are on hand to offer support and advice whether it’s by phone, store or live chat via our website.
